Brazilian Music with Eduardo Mendonça

By popular request, Brazilian recording artist, vocalist, percussionist, guitarist, and composer Eduardo Mendonça returns to African Music Nites to perform Bossa-Nova, MPB (Brazilian Popular Music), Brazilian standards and original tunes. Mendonça traces his lineage to a royal African family bearing the hereditary title of Mama-beka (“prophet of the royal court”). He has had the honor of performing for Pope John Paul II, former South Africa President Nelson Mandela, and the Dalai Lama, and was featured in Paul Simon’s 1991 music documentary, “Born at the Right Time.”
